Luciana SAYURE

​

Born in Santo André-SP, LUCIANA SAYURE, has a Bachelor's Degree from the Faculty of Arts Alcântara Machado (FAAM) and a Master's and Doctorate from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Her work reflects the influences of three Brazilian piano personalities: Marisa Lacorte, Yara Bernette and Mauricy Martin.

 

She was prizewinner in several piano competitions, among which the I National Piano Competition Arthur Moreira Lima, XIII National Piano Competition Paulo Giovanini, I National Piano Competition Lorenzo Fernandez and Young Pianist Competition. She taught at the São Caetano do Sul Arts Foundation, at the São Paulo Municipal School of Music and at the Dr. Carlos de Campos Dramatic and Musical Conservatory (Tatuí-SP).

 

Since 2007, she is a Professor of Undergraduate and Graduate Programs at the Department of Music at the University of São Paulo (USP) and, together with Prof. Eduardo Monteiro, carries out intense training activities with young pianists and also carries out research and extension projects, notably: the USP Piano Workshop, the Performa Clavis International Symposium, and the Piano Works of Alexandre Levy (1864-1892): concerts and CD recordings and the project In Black and White: piano recitals and lectures offered by CMU / ECA / USP in music schools in the State of São Paulo.
